Preventative Maintenance

Regular maintenance on your vehicle is very important for many reasons. It ensures the safety and integrity of your vehicles many parts and components, which can help lessen the chances of breakdowns and emergency repair and can help your vehicle resale value.

There are many DIY routine minor checks that you can perform yourself, like checking your tires and topping up fluids but there are many people who would rather leave all that up to the professionals like us.

One advantage of bringing your vehicle to us is, we may be able to identify issues that could become costly if left alone.  We don’t mind getting our hands dirty and we love that because we paid close attention to your vehicle’s preventative maintenance, you are still bringing that vehicle to us years later.

Vehicle Maintenance Checklist

Your particular make and model of vehicle has a manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule.  There are parts, components and fluids that need attention monthly, yearly or how many miles you have put on the vehicle.  Manufacturers usually recommend maintenance at 50,000 km, 100,000 km, and 150,000 km, but there are a lot of parts that need to be checked before hitting these milestones.

Engine Oil

Check oil and if oil is low, add oil recommended for your vehicle. If really dark or thick, you need an oil change.

Vehicle Fluids

Engine coolant, antifreeze, steering fluid, transmission fluid, fluid flush. Fluids should be topped up regularly

Regular maintenance service every 2 to 3 years or 40K-50K km.

Tires & Wheels

Tire pressure, tire tread and wear. Proper tires for the season.

Air & Cabin Filters

Protect your engine from dirt and debris and maintain air flow & quality.

Spark Plugs

Spark plugs need to be clean to keep your engine efficient. Over time build up will decease their efficiency.

When belts become cracked, frayed or worn, it is best left up to us to replace.

Windshield Wipers

This is a maintenance task that you can handle yourself but sometimes it is complicated to know what you need.
